Hello again,
I was busy with my thesis work last week, so could not write for the previous week's progress. This week I will write for the two previous week:
For the week 3:
This week we solved the problems that I had experienced with angular.js (big thanks go to Morris) and he also initiated the router to let me start working on the playlist functionality.
The new method created some layout issues and I managed to solved them yesterday. Also, now we can create a new playlist but this is still hard coded. After finalizing the addition of renaming and deleting functionality to playlists, I will be using the backend to make it more flexible.
For the week 4:
This week, I needed to learn more about Music App to make the playlist functionalities working. The previous week, I was not thinking that this would be that hard, but now I understood that there are many things to learn even to make basic functionality work. For everything that I completed this week, I needed to read JSON basics, Restangular API documents and learn some OC API functions.
As a short update to this week:
- We now have a new template to show when a *hard-coded* playlist selected from the list
- A new api function is written to get the raw song data
- Committed the changes into repo. Can be followed from here: https://github.com/owncloud/music/pull/233
Next week:
- When a list is selected, all user songs that belong to this list should be displayed in the template that we have.
- And maybe getting hardcoded user playlist from database?
